Good Friday stands as one of the most profound moments in the Christian faith—a day marked not by celebration, but by deep reflection.

It is the day we remember the suffering, betrayal, and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Scripture tells us in Isaiah 53:5:

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities…”

Before the cross came betrayal.

Jesus, who walked in love and truth, was betrayed by one of His own—Judas Iscariot (Matthew 26:14–16). He was denied by Peter (Luke 22:54–62), falsely accused, mocked, beaten, and ultimately crucified.

And yet, through it all, He remained obedient.

Good Friday reminds us of the cost of sin—and the depth of God’s love.

It challenges us as believers to examine our own lives:

  • Are we standing firm in faith, or denying Him in our actions?
  • Are we living justly, or compromising our walk with God?

Jesus endured the cross not because He had to—but because we needed Him to.

As believers, this day calls us to repentance, humility, and renewed commitment. It is a reminder to walk in righteousness, to love deeply, and to remain faithful even in difficult moments.

Let us not take His sacrifice lightly.

Instead, let us live lives that reflect the price that was paid.
