During our Easter Sunday service, we were blessed with a powerful message based on Mark 16:1–8, centered on the theme:
“He Has Risen, He Is Not Here.”
The message began by reminding us of the moment when Mary Magdalene and others went to the tomb, only to find that Jesus was no longer there. Instead, they received the powerful message that He had risen—just as He had said.
This truth forms the foundation of our faith.
We were taught that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is important because:
1. The grave is a place of limitation—but Jesus is the Lord of abundance
The grave represents restriction, but in Christ, we have life in abundance (John 10:10).
2. The grave is a place of darkness—but Jesus is the Lord of light
Where there is darkness, Jesus brings light and clarity (John 8:12).
3. The grave could not hold Him—Jesus is the Lord of freedom
Through Christ, we receive freedom from sin and are called to live and serve in love (John 8:36, Galatians 5:1).

4. The grave is a place of the dead—but Jesus is the Lord of the living
Jesus has power over death and gives eternal life to all who believe in Him.
The message reminded us that the resurrection is not just something to remember—it is something to live by.
Because He lives, we have hope.
Because He rose, we are free.
Let us continue to walk in this truth every day.
